Minimum Required Education, Experience & Skills

DUTIES

This position will be accountable for reviewing, tracking, follow up, correction and reporting of medical records using CMS new HCC methodology to ensure that records and superbills are accurately documented.

QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate is a Registered Nurse with at least 5 years in a clinical discipline with experience in CPT and ICD9 coding preferred or at least two years proven track record with ICD-9CM CMS HCC coding experience.
1. Application of current CPT and ICD9 coding, including new HCC methodology, or at a minimum a base knowledge of ICD9 codes and the ability to learn quickly
2. Analytical thinking skills
3. Problem solving skills
4. Good PC skills to include the following software programs:

5. Strong verbal and written communication skills in working with the medical staff, clinic staff and Providers
6. Ability to maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
