I emailed the person that posted the message about the dogs that were apparently abandoned at Mission del Lago park and have not yet received a response. If anyone is able to take them in or help with feeding them until foster homes can be found I would be happy to contribute towards Vet care, food, etc. We are currently leasing a home so I cannot take the dogs in at this time, but it breaks my heart to think of them living out there.

If anyone has gone to help them, please let me know. I will help in any way that I can.

We are fairly new to the area, and will need to board our dog for the first time at Christmas. He is a 75 pound black lab mix who loves to play. Masey is the older rat, that has a growth on her right leg. She is about 2 years. She is very sweet and gentle.
Gypsy is less than a year. She is shy but will let you hold her.
Bitsy is a year. She LOVES humans.
Tinker is about 6 months and LOVES humans. Tinker is a one of a kind rat. Out of all the rats, she acts if she was hand raised and never sold to be a feeder rat only.

None of them bite and my grand baby has played with them a few times especially Tinker.
All 4 are white and brown in some way. Bodies are mostly white with brown heads or patches of brown.

All four get along and love each other. I hate to see them separated.

The breeders keep making more to sell and then when they turn into "pigs" there is nowhere for them to go!. Please do your homework and think long and hard before buying a pet pig. As we've said before, there is no such thing as a pig that will stay small, no matter what the breeders tell you. Visit a sanctuary and see with your own eyes what a "micro-mini" pig looks like at 5 years old! They are NOT small! he has a distinct white patch of fur near his butt. he has light green eyes and a bright pink nose. the pads on his paws alternate between pink and black. he was wearing a black collar w/ a bell on it, so assuming he hasnt taken it off (he loves his collar btw), you will notice that first.

The black one is a terrier mix, ex-stray as of a month ago. I call him Romeo. I took him in never intending on keeping him, just getting him warmed up to people, sudden movements, and getting him on a regular NON-TRASH diet. He is protective of the house, so when people come in he barks but as soon as you tell him no, he stops and he'll go up to that person wanting to be pet and loved. I'm not sure of his age but i would say somewhere between 2 and 4 but he acts like a puppy since he never really had the puppy life.

The spotted puppy is about 6 months old and is Romeo's son, mom is a overgrown rat terrier. Long story short, the west side has terrible fencing on their properties and my dog was in heat. I literally left her for 2 minutes, came out and she was not a virgin anymore. She ended up being a great mother to 7 puppies and out popped Rascal. He's very sweet, loves to sleep in your bed but i don't have him in mine much. It's way too crowded with my boyfriend, me & my pregnant belly. lol

Both dogs need vet care. They don't have shots & need to be neutered, i won't lie to you. They are also both housetrained but expect accidents till they get used to your schedule unless you let them out a few times a day or leave them out during the day. They're both very sweet and need loving homes as soon as they can. I just do not have the time for them. I already have 2 other dogs, one which needs constant vet care from being attacked by my neighbor's dog and both are used to my schedule. I love my dogs but i can't possibly keep them all, especially since i'm always trying to save the homeless and find them homes.

Also, I'd like to add that these are not tiny dogs. I say rat terrier mix BUT that doesn't mean they're rat terrier size. They are small but more toward medium sized. I already had someone come out to look at them and said no because she thought they were smaller. SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY!! People that can really afford to take these dogs and provide them a loving home and vet care; someone who has the TIME for them.
