What part of making insurance affordable for everyone do you not understand? Some people actually take pride in paying their own way. Are you in fear you might have to actually pay something (other than a token payment) for your medical care? btw, SE tax is nothing but social security taxes which you will draw if you live until your qualifying age. I seriously doubt you pay income taxes if you qualify for the CareLink charity assistance.
