Our company is seeking candidates for the following. The position is with a State of Texas Agency.
We can offer up to $61.70 per hour.

A description of the position follows. Candidates must meet minimum requirements in order to be considered.
I. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES
Skills and duties:
Interviewing end-users for insight on functionality, interface, problems, and/or usability issues.
Consistently writing, translating, and coding software programs and applications according to specifications.
Writing programming scripts to enhance functionality and/or performance of company applications as necessary.
Liaise with network administrators, systems analysts, and software developers to assist in resolving problems with software products or agency software systems.
Designing, running and monitoring software performance tests on new and existing programs for the purposes of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging.
Administer critical analysis of test results and deliver solutions to problem areas.
Generating statistics and write reports for management and/or team members on the status of the programming process.
Analyzing and assessing existing business systems and procedures.
Research, identify, analyze, and fulfill requirements of all internal and external program users.
Develop and maintain user manuals and guidelines.
Train end users to operate new or modified programs.
Install software products for end users as required.
Other duties as assigned.
Other Special Requirements:
On-call availability.
Overtime hours may be required to meet project deadlines.
Sitting for extended periods of time.
Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other devices.
Able to lift computer drives, monitors, and other peripherals.
II. WORKER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Requirements (all minimum requirements must be met in order to be considered):
7 years Experience developing web applications using object oriented analysis, design, and programming with ColdFusion.
7 years Experience and an understanding of coding methods and best practices.
7 years Experience developing test cases and test plans.
7 years Experience collaborating with developers, programmers, and designers in conceptualizing and development of new software programs and applications.
7 years Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
6 years Experience developing SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers using Microsoft SQL Server 2005. This includes experience with select, insert, update, and delete queries.
6 years Experience working in a networked, multi-tiered architecture with Novell Netware, Apache Tomcat, Windows XP Pro, and Windows Server 2003.
5 years Experience developing XML data extraction and transfer programs.
5 years Experience developing custom forms with Adobe PDFs and Adobe Acrobat Professional.
Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Preferencs:
5 years Developing web applications using object oriented analysis, design, and programming with Adobe Flex, Eclipse, and XML.
5 years Developing grant management system software.
3 years Using Xerox Docushare, Adobe LiveCycle, Citrix, VMWare, and/or Sage MIP.
III. TERM OF SERVICE
Services expect to start approximately November 10, 2008 and are to be completed by February 28, 2009. Total estimated Worker hours shall not exceed 700 hours per worker. This service may be amended, renewed, and/or extended providing both parties agree to do so in writing.
IV. WORK HOURS AND LOCATION
A. Services shall be provided during normal business hours unless otherwise coordinated through the GLO. Normal business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM through 5:00 PM, excluding State holidays when the agency is closed.
B. The primary work location(s) will be at the GLO facility located at 1700 North Congress Avenue, Austin, Texas.
