Qualifications Needed for Full-Charge Bookkeeper

• Knowledgeable of general accounting rules and processes to make accounting / journal entries and prepare monthly financial statements for multiple businesses
• Able to post and reconcile intercompany transactions
• Proficient in QuickBooks
• Proficient in Excel – some spreadsheets will be required
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 2007
• Very organized and detail oriented– a lot of multi-tasking and constant document retention required
• Customer service oriented – be friendly, responsive, and clear when communicating
• Exhibit good writing skills when corresponding via email or letter
• Be efficient with time and contentious in performing more repetitive responsibilities, while maintaining flexibility for short special projects
• Possess a strong work ethic, be dependable and reliable
• Be a team player and, when possible and appropriate, assist others with similar responsibilities
• Be discrete, as the position will have access to personal information required to be maintained in a confidential manner
• Possessing some knowledge and familiarity with basic real estate terms and documents is a plus
• References from former / current employers as to performance, work ethic, confidentiality, and trustworthy qualities will be important
