An American artist, film director, and producer, Andy Warhol was a leading figure in the visual art movement known as pop art, of which this “Daisies” 100% silk scarf pictured here is an exemplary representation of his many pop art icons. Born 1928, died 1987, Warhol has become an internationally recognized and revered artist whose works reflected his views on the banality that he saw in the commercial culture of America in the 2nd half of the 20th century. A rare one-of-a kind creation in silk, this scarf dates from 1982, and is in like-new condition for it was never used. Makes a great garment accessory or a fabulous framed objet d’art which has become quite au courant in today’s art world.
