Steve Kaufman 1960-2010, was an American pop artist and assistant to Andy Warhol at the Factory studio. Andy’s influence and inspiration is evident in this art.
There are other colors listed on E-bay with pricing ranging from $1,800 all the way to $5,000. I have priced this under the original gallery purchase cost at $900. The art will appreciate in value as Steve passed away in 2010.
Twenty years ago when acquired, I actually did not like the consumer aspect of the dollar bill, but loved the color. Over a short span, I became to see the art as just that, consumerism in which I am not a fan, so this art became one of my favorite pieces and reminded me everyday that life is about creating, not spending. Why selling? Im getting old and have lessened my objects of desire, down to three main pieces of art, this being one.
Must sell locally because the cost to crate, ship and insure would be in the hundreds and do not want to risk the art not arriving intact. Live in the Stone Oak area of San Antonio.
