ANTIQUE, Whole Clothe, Quilted Blanket - full size
Now this quilt is a bonafide antique.
I bought it from my brother (who is a textiles expert) when he was cleaning out his collection.
He purchased this quilt many years ago from a sale at the Brooklyn Museum of Art when they were cleaning out their back rooms.
It is early 19th century so it is indeed very old.
The yellow whole clothe side is the top/show side. The back has mismatched fabrics that in themselves are historic.
All of this information has been verified by an appraiser of the Antiques Roadshow.
There is discoloration of the backing material
Now I'm thinning out my collection. So it can be yours.
