Up for sale is my newly built and never flown Ace kit of the Staudacher S-300. This is a kit designed by Fred Reese, so you’ll know if flies great. This is a .40 sized aerobatic sport scale aircraft, and hasn’t been designed for 3-D flying. It has a wingspan of 56 inches. I did a quick balance check (CG) and with the battery it balanced exactly where the instruction booklet said. As you can see from the many pictures, this shows the aircraft, engine, spinner and servos. I’m selling the aircraft WITH the OS engine together for the shown price, but if you want anything else, then the list is below. If you’re an electric guy, then you’ll see that I built it with a hatch to get to the battery compartment very easily. The fitted engine is an OS .46 FX. The 5 fitted servos all have Futaba connectors. 3 are Futaba, one is Hobbico and the other is Hitec. They are all ball bearing servos. The shown receiver in the picture IS NOT included. At the moment the compartment is showing a brand new unwrapped fuel tank. Also, if you go electric then included with the building instructions and the two plans (no plans shown but are included) there’s the original uncut cowl so you can cut away to fit it the way you want. The covering used is Missile Red, White and Black Monocote. FYI - The fiberglass cowl is now painted to match the rest of the aircraft. The flags on top of the wing have been removed.
The plane has now had its maiden flight and flew perfectly. No damage was done and this is a great plane for the basic IMAC competition or just have fun doing your aerobatics....
Aircraft frame and engine $220
Spinner and propellor $20
Fitted servos (5) $30
Please let me know if you have any questions. I’m sorry, but this is for local pickup only, as it’s too big and expensive to ship.
