A fascinating read for perfume enthusiasts and another attractive coffee table display item. By William I. Kaufman and some 200 pages long, this volume is a detailed history of perfume starting with aromatic materials used in ancient Egypt through the origins of the modern day perfumery industry in France. Of special interest to those of you who may be into learning how to create your own perfumes/parfums. E.P. Dutton & Co. publication, 1974. Measures 14 1/2" W x 10 1/2" T. Local Pickup. Cash and Carry Only. Several empty designer perfume bottles and vials included for your own creations.
P.S. Coco Chanel once said that perfume “is the unseen, unforgettable, ultimate accessory of fashion...that heralds your arrival and prolongs your departure.” Interestingly enough, according to Harold McGee, author of “Nose Dive,” and an expert on olfactory matters, a scientific study from 2014 estimated that the human nose could distinguish, in theory, up to a trillion different odors. The only problem being that it’s very hard to describe most scents. Wow! Local Pickup. Cash and Carry Only.
