This posting is for a pair of Wesco Jobmaster boots, in the lace to toe pattern. Please do an internet search for Wesco Boots if you are unfamiliar. The short story is that these are made in the USA boots which are most frequently sold to firefighters and the logging industry. This is similar to White's, Nick's, JK's, and Frank's from Spokane. Expensive and long lasting.
I bought this pair used thinking that they would fit me but they are a little too big for me. I have not worn them outside of the house.
This pair looks to have been resoled by the original manufacturer Wesco, I do not have proof of this. But the new Wesco branded insoles, and most importantly the fact that the vibram 100 outsoles were stitched all the way through, (local cobblers can't usually do this) are pretty big clues that the resoling was done back at the mothership.
Positives: This is a worn and used pair of boots, but the Vibram outsoles have as much life in them as a new pair. The soles still have the extra bits of rubber hanging off them like a new set of tires.
Negatives: The tongue on one of the boots looks like it was chewed by a puppy, the kilties were cut crudely to remove the fringes, the laces are thin and not to my liking, and there is hard wear (dings and scratches) on the leather uppers all over.
I like to meet in the parking lot of the Fair Oaks Ranch Police department.
