Bechwood tunnel LMS 1167 steam locomotive, originally painted by Philip D. Hawkins
The LMS 4-4-0 Compound No 1167 is seen exiting Beechwood Tunnel on a two-hour express service to Euston. The locomotive the painting portrays was built in October 1925 by the Vulcan Foundry and having been renumbered by British Railways in June 1948 as No 41167 was to remain in service until October 1958 when it was withdrawn from 2A Rugby shed.
