This map, which details the whereabouts of Erebor and The Lonely Mountain, originally belonged to the dwarven King Under The Mountain, Thrór, and eventually passed to his grandson Thorin, who employed it in succesfully leading his small party (including, famously, the hobbit Bilbo Baggins and the wizard Gandalf) to recapture Erebor and defeat Smaug the Terrible (poor dragon).
