Valor Classics has yet another gem to bring to market. The 572ci Big Block Built by American Motorsports Legend, Warren Johnson, the "Professor of Pro Stock." He is a living legend holding the second most wins ever in NHRA Pro Stock Racing.

We spoke with Warren who built and signed the motor's valve covers and he advised us that Chevrolet was having about a 50% recall/return rate on the 572. Of course, who do you call but the man who perfected the 572, Warren Johnson. In the rebuild, he discovered for Chevrolet that they had two issues: 1) radiator was too small, and 2) that the engines were not internally balanced. Chevrolet took that advise and started making changes at Warren's behest.

The car was fixed by Warren personally, and then delivered to the owner by Chevrolet and that owner sold it at auction a number of years ago. This is a rare piece and a very cool story. What history. She runs and drives like a race car after Warren's hands touched it.

She has Wilwood Disc brakes all the way around with Hydro Boost, Mishimoto Four Core Radiator with Dual Electric Fans, Subframe Connectors and Body Stiffeners, New Wheels and Tires, Electric Fuel Pump, Rack and Pinion Steering, QA1 Four Link Rear Suspension, QA1 Coil Over Front Suspension, 5 Speed Manual Transmission with brand new Ram clutch...it goes on and on.

The 1970 Chevy Chevrolet SS with a 572 cowl induction is a classic muscle car known for its powerful performance and distinctive cowl induction hood design. The 572 engine is a high-performance big block, delivering impressive horsepower and torque. It's a sought-after collector's item among automotive enthusiasts.
