How it Works:
TENS units like the Ultima 5 Digital Dual Channel TENS Unit create a low voltage electrical current. This current is conducted through the sticky adhesive on the electrode pads and gently stimulates the nerves to relieve bodily tension and pain. There are a couple of theories regarding how these units work. One is that the electrical current disrupts pain signals before they can reach the brain. Another theory is that the current encourages the body to produce its own natural painkillers. For instance, TENS units may instigate the production of endorphins.

The Ultima 5 Tens Unit is a portable, digital Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation Device for fast, targeted, and efficient pain relief. This means that once this device is attached to a pained area, it creates gentle electric pulses to increase circulation and encourage muscles to relax. The TENS Ultima 5 provides drug-free Pain Relief for a wide variety of conditions. These conditions include nerve pain, musculoskeletal pain, muscle spasms, migraines, stiffness, and inflammation that arise from tendonitis, sports and auto injuries, arthritis, back strain, sciatica, menstrual pain, and countless other pain-causing incidents.
The Ultima 5 Tens Unit system is a dual-channel system and has five operation mode options so users can get just the right level of stimulation to fit their individual needs. This includes a continuous mode, two burst modes, a pulse width mode, and a pulse rate and pulse width mode. Pulse width and rate are also adjustable. They can be adjusted between 50 and 250 seconds and 1 to 150 Hz, respectively. It also includes four timer settings (15, 30, 45, or 60 Minute) so users can use it for an allotted amount of time without concern of going over the desired period. This reduces the chance of over-use. Two waveform options are also available with this device.
