Bar Manager/Head Bartender (San Antonio)

We are looking for a knowledgeable Bar Manager/Head Bartender to open a new bar/restaurant concept. Looking for someone with a passion for creativity. A background in craft cocktails and food pairing is preferred. The right candidate will be punctual, driven, self motivating, and display the highest quality of customer service.

-Frequently create & design drink menus (focused on pairings)
-Event planning
-Manage costs (accounting)
-Establish pars, ordering systems, inventory as well as storage for all operating supplies
-Participate in the interviewing, hiring, training, counseling and development of staff
-Ensure all bar staff team members have necessary tools to perform daily duties
-Comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the restaurant, employees and guests
-Ensuring all equipment is being kept clean and in excellent working condition
-Partner with distillers, breweries, wineries and liquor distributors to host relevant tastings and events
-Ability to interact positively with management, coworkers, team members, and the public to promote a team effort and maintain a positive and professional approach

-Minimum of 4 years of experience as a bartender in a high volume or fine dining restaurant and at least 2 years of management experience
-Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time, reach, bend, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds
-Advanced wine/beer/spirits knowledge and intermediate food knowledge
-Must have Food Management Certification and TABC
-Must have reliable transportation
