Plans have changed, and I now have my wind mill for sale. The year is approximate, but it is a Dempster brand. It will need attention for it to rotate like it did when pumping water 100 years ago, but I had planned to install modern pillow block bearings so that it could figuratively run forever when greased. What you do (and how you do it) will depend on the commitment you have to this great looking windmill.
I consider this in fantastic condition for its age. It can be erected and stood upright to challenge the wind (and is a complete unit with a fan and tail). The fan does not spin without some attention given to the bearings (which is common for most windmills). The fan does look great and I don't recall any real damage.
The tower has the additional legs (next to the assembled frame) to make the total height approximately 30 feet. It also has the ladder portion. I have a tractor that can help load onto a flatbed trailer.
Sold ai-is. I do not need/want help selling and will not respond to messages asking if it's still available. I won't negotiate price over the phone. I am honest and expect you to be as well. Sold to the first to pay (however $400 non-refundable can hold it but only for a week). No trades.
I took this down... this is older than everyone reading this so I cannot provide entire history. I know there was at least 1 bullet hole in a piece of the tin. Finding a complete original today is rare - I've had probably 30 different house guests/visitors ask me about it. I like it, but am moving and now want this to be re-homed.
