It is from the late Mesoproterozoic period. Or about 1.1 billion years old.
It is used for jewelry. keep sakes and many holistic items. Normally only small pieces can be found. "For Sale Here " An extremely large single bolder I have had for many years, Certified Weight 620 Pounds. It is a beautiful very hard piece. The weathered exterior (millions of years old) is the golden grayish to black layer seen in the pictures. The black specks are the weathered blue quarts. A few years back I broke away a couple of the weathered spots to confirm the consistency and color of the Rock. As I suspected it is the beautiful and very hard Blueish, purplish, blackish with pink, red and silver type. The blue quartz crystals are big and beautiful.
I will have the boulder palletized for transportation. Cost of transportation is on the purchaser. However, if things work out I might be able to deliver.
