Here is your opportunity to own a piece of history. This is a rare vintage nameplate from The Kalamazoo Stove Company, which operated from 1902 to 1952, and was known for its innovative stoves and furnaces. When my grandparents immigrated to the U.S. from Poland in the early 1940s, this was from the first stove they purchased. The stove was still in partial use until 2015, when it was finally picked up by a metal recycling group in Detroit, MI.
American involvement in World War II dramatically affected the Kalamazoo Stove and Furnace Company. To support the war effort, the company converted 97% of its production facilities to the manufacture of war material, such as aircraft landing gear mechanisms, and tank armor plates.
If you are a collector of vintage historical nameplates, ornaments, signage, or logos, this item will be a welcome addition to your display case or man cave. Photos show scenes from inside the manufacturing facility, closeups of the nameplate (front and back), and vintage promotional illustrations. Cash only. Local pickup in New Braunfels, Texas area.
