Beautifully proportioned statement piece will be a star attraction in your home! Sheraton-inspired cabinet from early 20th c. has been carefully rejuvenated and improved to complement today’s design aesthetic.

The piece features frame and panel construction with stretcher bars to enhance stability, solid walnut and walnut veneers, and a dovetail drawer that slides easily. Two of the three shelves are removable and have double plate grooves.

The case was well-prepped, primed, and painted with three coats of Sherwin Williams’ self-leveling cabinet-grade paint. The color is Hale Navy, Benjamin Moore's top-selling non-white color of all time. This deep, rich hue works remarkably well in a range of interior color schemes and contrasts beautifully with the warmth of the walnut shelves. Three coats of Sherwin Williams’ Caviar were painted on the inside back panel; this almost-jet black tone perfectly showcases china collections. The contrast is stunning!

Enhancements include refurbished original drawer handles, a new solid brass door pull, refinished walnut shelves, the thoughtful addition of trim pieces on the sides, adjustments to the door to ensure proper functioning, and replacement of the drawer bottom. Wax was applied to the sides of the drawer bottoms and the runners within the case to ensure smooth sliding.

This cabinet has a tailored and elegant look that will work particularly well in a transitional space that combines both traditional and contemporary elements. While it was likely designed for china and linens, it’s easy to imagine it displaying objets-d’arts in a living room or even books in an office/library.

Dimensions: height 60.5” to top surface (63” to top of front trim), width 35”, depth 15”
