Mid Century Modern Erwin Lambeth Coffe Table they were a prestigious furniture company based in Thomasville, North Carolina. Erwin Lambeth, originally a family run business, was started in 1901 as Standard Chair Company. However, in 1947 upon the death of James Erwin Lambeth Snr., the name was changed to Erwin Lambeth and was run by James Erwin Lambeth Jr. and his wife, Katherine “KC” Lambeth. Their focus was producing high-end mid-century furnishings for the design trade only and KC’s influence as a woman, a designer, and the first President of the company was infused into every piece. In the 1980s Erwin Lambeth merged with Tomlinson Furniture, who are still creators of fine furniture today. Erwin Lambeth pieces are frequently compared to and mistaken for mid-century greats such as Milo Baughman, Pierre Cardin, and Selig. Thank you! (15 high x 42 Square)
