Bought new in April of 2022 and not used real often afterwards. Then in August of 2023 we bought a larger gasoline chipper shredder. Since then I used it very briefly two times to shred plant stalks from the garden for composting.
Comes with the Operation Manual, and an extra Motor with an extra Cutting Head & dual Blades from a previous unit.
From personal experience I discovered that the dual blades, depending on what is being chipped and shredded, are self-sharpening on the reverse side and can become almost razor sharp. The blades are easily rotated and reinstalled using the included wrench; loosen & remove the two screws securing the blade, rotate the blade 180°, and rethread & tighten the screws.
A few customizations were made by me based on my experience with a previous unit so that the operator does not have to remember where the wrenches are stored and retrieve them when they are needed, nor constantly reattach the paddle clamp (paddle is used to assist in feeding material to the Cutting Head) to the chipper shredder leg when it was bumped by or against something. The following tools and accessory are now firmly attached to the unit body;
1) Cutting Head Wrench is attached to the Right side of the body.
2) Blade Wrench is attached to the Left side of the body.
3) Paddle Clamp is attached to the front of the body.
