2003 JCB 214S 4x4 Loader Backhoe — All-Wheel Steer — 11102200
I’m listing a 2003 JCB 214S that is a beast of a machine. If you aren't familiar with the "S" models, they are the heavy-duty versions with equal-sized tires and 3-mode all-wheel steering. You can crab-steer this thing or use the tight turning radius to get a full-sized backhoe into spots where a standard machine would be stuck doing a 10-point turn.
It’s powered by a 4-cylinder Perkins turbo diesel that starts up easy and runs strong. The transmission is a 4-speed powershift that’s smooth, and the 4WD pulls hard. This unit is set up with a 4-in-1 "clamshell" front bucket and a quick coupler, so you can scrape, grab, and load without changing attachments.
A few honest details on the machine:
Rear Extendahoe: The backhoe has the telescoping reach, and the pins and bushings are surprisingly tight—looks like it didn't do much heavy digging in its past life.
Cab Setup: It’s an enclosed cab with working heat. A couple of the windows were caught by rocks and replaced with plexiglass; they have a bit of a film on them from a cleaner but still do the job of keeping the weather out.
Condition: No visible leaks and the tires are in great shape with plenty of tread.
Hours: The digital meter is blank, so hours are unknown, but based on how tight the controls and the boom are, the previous owner’s report of low usage seems to hold up.
This is a versatile, heavy-lifting machine that is ready to go to work on a farm, job site, or for property maintenance. Everything functions as it should, and it has a ton of life left in it.
Come by and try out the different steering modes and run the hydraulics for yourself. Serious inquiries only.
