South Austin Marine has opportunities available for Riggers & Marine Technicians for our growing Service Department. We are a well-established Boat Dealership that has been in business for over 45 years. Compensation ranges from $50,000 - $75,000 plus per year based on previous experience, certifications, and training.
Work hours are from 8:00 am-6:00 pm Mon-Fri and Saturdays during peak season.
Job opportunities for a rigger includes rigging engines, installing depth finders, GPS systems, trolling motors, & other electronics. Other duties include working on outboards, sterndrives, inboard engines as well as mechanical and electrical systems on bass boats, center console boats, sport boats and cruisers, and inboard ski boats.
Previous experience rigging engines and installing electronics is required for our rigging job. Training on one or more of the following engine manufacturers is preferred: Yamaha, Mercury, Suzuki, Evinrude, Mercruiser, Volvo, or Indmar.
Applicant Must have:
• A valid driver’s license with a good driving record
• Be prompt and dependable. Must work all required hours and days
• Previous rigging experience
• Previous experience and training with one or more of the engine manufacturers listed above
• Good troubleshooting and technical skills
• Detail oriented and work well under pressure
• People oriented
