Job Summary
LOD Staffing is seeking reliable and hardworking Event Conversion Crew Members (Heavy Lifters) to support large-scale events at venues such as arenas, convention centers, and stadiums. This role is responsible for the physical setup, breakdown, and transformation of event spaces. Ideal candidates are team-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of working in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
Perform event setup and breakdown, including staging, seating, barricades, tables, chairs, and flooring
Safely move, lift, and transport heavy equipment and materials
Assist with event conversions (e.g., basketball court to concert setup, trade show floor builds, etc.)
Load and unload trucks with event equipment and supplies
Follow detailed instructions from supervisors and conversion leads
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Operate basic tools and equipment as needed (training provided if applicable)
Work collaboratively with team members to meet strict deadlines
Adhere to all safety policies and procedures at all times
Minimum Qualifications
Must be 18+
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening (as required by client and assignment)
Must have valid ID and/or Driver's License
Ability to lift 50–75+ lbs consistently throughout the shift
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical labor for extended periods
Reliable transportation to and from job sites
Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in event setup, general labor, warehouse, or construction
Experience working in arenas, convention centers, or large venues
Work Environment
Fast-paced, high-energy event environments
Indoor and outdoor venues, including arenas, stadiums, and convention centers
Exposure to varying temperatures depending on venue and event requirements
Work may take place overnight or during early morning hours based on event schedules
High-noise environments during active event setup or breakdown
Physical Demands
Frequent heavy lifting (50–75+ lbs), pushing, and pulling
Continuous standing, walking, bending, stooping, and climbing stairs
Ability to work long shifts (8–12+ hours), often on concrete surfaces
Repetitive motion tasks involving lifting, carrying, and equipment handling
Ability to work safely in crowded, fast-moving environments
