I need to have an attic ladder installed. Some modifications will need to be made to the existing ceiling joists. I have permits pulled for the remodel so any framing that needs to be done needs to be done propely and according to code so that this doesn't hold up the framing inspection. There is no current attic access inside the house so that is why I need this installed. The picture is the ladder style I am getting for a 25.5 in. x 54 in. Rough Opening. I might try to find a smaller one if possible but the smallest allowed is 30x30.. I will provide any other materials needed, besides the ladder. I am looking for someone with framing experience as this has to be installed to code and the ceiling joists modifations have to pass city inspection. Let me know what the labor cost would be, need to have done relatively soon.
