I am a small business consultant for a small business services company (business consultants).
I'm needing a person to go to small businesses, 4 to 15 employees, give them a business card, ask for their business card and the name of the owner.
You will then tell the gatekeeper that you represent a small business services company and that you want to have your home office call and set up an appointment with the owner to see if he/she has a need or interest in what we do.
Very low key, very low commitment from them.
You will be going to business parks where there a many of these types of businesses.
Your quota is 20 cards per hour. It typical to be able to walk through 20-30 doors in an hour.
Remember, you aren't trying to solicit or sell them anything.
You are giving them our card, asking for their card, and asking the owner name so that when our office calls them they know who to ask for to set an appointment.
Pay is $20/hr. + commission
If the owner happens to be there and lets you set an appointment directly to see if they need our services, then add $25 per appointment.
So for each hour you work, if you worked 1 hour and got 20 cards and 1 appointment then your pay works out to $45/hour
you will need to dress business casual and be able to have a nice presentation.
