The Spotter supports heavy equipment operators, drivers, or other workers by guiding vehicle movements, ensuring safety, and helping prevent accidents in high-traffic or restricted spaces. This role is critical in maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Guide drivers and equipment operators when maneuvering in tight or hazardous areas.
Maintain constant visual contact and clear communication with operators.
Use hand signals, radios, or other agreed-upon communication methods to provide directions.
Monitor surroundings to ensure people, vehicles, and equipment remain in safe positions.
Assist with loading and unloading operations when necessary.
Identify and report safety hazards immediately.
Follow all company policies and OSHA safety guidelines.
Requirements:
Must have a valid birth certificate.
Ability to remain alert and focused in high-activity environments.
Strong communication skills.
Knowledge of standard hand signals and safety procedures (training provided if necessary).
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Standing, walking, and remaining attentive for extended periods.
Ability to move quickly to signal or warn operators if needed.
