Quality Control Inspector – Seguin, TX

Available Shifts:

1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 5:30 am–4:00 pm
2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday, 5:30 pm–2:30 am
3rd Shift: Monday–Thursday, 5:30 pm–4:00 am

The client will determine each candidate’s grade level (I, II, or III) based on qualifications.

Compensation (DOE)

Quality Inspector I: $19.50–$23.50/hr
Quality Inspector II: $23.50–$26.50/hr
Quality Inspector III: $26.50–$29.50/hr

Position Overview

As a Quality Control Inspector (Level I, II, or III), you will play an integral role in supporting our manufacturing operations by evaluating, improving, and ensuring adherence to quality standards and processes. Your goal is to help us meet or exceed customer expectations through rigorous quality practices.

Key Responsibilities

Operate a variety of measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, steel rulers, pin gauges, surface plates, and height gauges.
Read and interpret blueprints accurately.
Conduct visual inspections in accordance with customer requirements.
Inspect and/or test both in-process and finished products for quality compliance.
Document and report inspection results as required.
Identify, quarantine, and report non-conforming products.
Generate and summarize non-conformance reports.
Maintain and troubleshoot measuring equipment, following proper procedures for care and repair.
Inspect and approve incoming materials, ensuring they meet all specifications.
Participate in department meetings as needed.
Review and release products for shipping, ensuring all certifications and documentation are complete (including dimensional and visual verification).
Assist with and learn dimensional verification for PPAP and first article parts.
Create and maintain internal control plans per customer and company requirements.
Operate FARO and Micro-Vu measurement systems.
Support production teams by aiding with proper documentation and measurement methods.
Assist with calibration and maintain compliance with company and ISO procedures.
Collaborate on solutions to customer complaints, vendor concerns, and internal process issues.
Work directly with manufacturing teams to resolve quality-related concerns.
Participate in internal audits focused on dimensional accuracy and document verification.
Complete PPAP and first article documentation and processes.
(For Level III) Lead and train Level I & II Inspectors, promoting improved team performance.
Promote and implement lean manufacturing processes and ongoing improvements.

Preferred Qualifications

Solid understanding of industry safety standards and quality protocols.
Experience: 5+ years in metal fabrication and continuous improvement environments, ideally with hands-on inspection.
Proficient in reading, comprehending, and writing simple instructions and correspondence.
Strong verbal communication skills; able to present information clearly in both individual and small group settings.
Comfortable with basic arithmetic and math concepts, including fractions, percentages, and graph interpretation.
Competent with Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and general internet use.
