Recommend matching up with a 35, 28, 24, 21 or even 15mm lens for superb wide angle shots. I used a 21 Super Angulon, an 28mm f/2 Voigtlander and a Voigtlander Aspherical 15mm f4.5. Super wide. All were excellent and required almost no focusing.
The MD-2 was the last and rarest of the 3 MD cameras made with only around 1800 made, compared to 3500 MD's, and 14000 MDa's. This makes it rare and highly collectible.
Based off of the Leica M4-2 design, the MD-2 is the successor to the MD and MDa. It was produced by Leitz from 1977 to 1987. As with all Leica M cameras it is a very sleek design, black finish, shutter functions, and super smooth advance and shutter release.
