CDL Driver Needs Truck for Test (San Antonio)

I am a former Class A driver with over 20 years driving experience and 1 million safe miles driven. I took a few years off to start my own business. It didn't work out, so now I'm back. Since it had been more than 2 years, I had to restart the process as though I was a rookie.

I have the CDL A Permit. Any new hires need to ride around with a trainer anyway; what I am asking it to Rent / Barter for a Truck to go take my test, and then I can come to work for you. Or, I can rent the truck outright; there is a company in Dallas doing this for $275. Unfortunately in San Antonio, everybody wants me to enroll in their school for weeks and $5000, even though I just need to go take the test.
