I am a local woman in rural area studying business with a partner with multiple degrees in finance and marketing. We are looking to start a small business of mobile vending services and delivery. The community in our area only has one store in a 15 mile area. They are charging 25-65% higher on most items in store, almost 150% mark up on most needed items in store. Not to mention the kitchen is infested with rats roaches and foods are not kept in safe temperatures. The owners refuse to upgrade or sell and if a complaint is made they simply ban the customer. We have had enough. They need to have competition. Our plan is simple. We get one or two delivery trucks to begin a type of ice cream truck route with three times daily stops to deliver the necessities the area needs and restock from a local warehouse or storage building. We offer the much needed items they over charge on or the items they just don't carry but are needed. MOST of These locals have no phones transportation or ability to have delivery offered here. After the initial 6 month start up we would like to add delivery from local business to help the small town business grow as well.
