Qualifications:
• Industry Certifications (ESA, NICET, BICSI, or manufacturer certifications). Security Manager Cert, Alarm Installer Cert and any others provide a higher likelihood of being hired.
• Experience in hospitality, multi-dwelling units (MDU), or larger commercial environments and a professionalism to go along with it. If you cannot talk to people then this position will not work for you.
• Knowledge of VLANs, PoE switching, and network configuration.
• OSHA certification or safety training.
Job Summary
As a CCTV/security/alarm Estimator, you will play a vital role in building business and relating to our company's clients. You’ll be at the forefront of protecting assets and providing peace of mind through your expertise in closed-circuit television (CCTV)/security technology. Your experience and expertise need to be enough that you can be tasked with GROWING the side of our security and access control department with the development team. So, you will need to want to be part of a TEAM and not have an individualist attitude. What you’ll do:
Build the business by identifying possible partnerships and / or new business'.
Estimate, manage and oversee installation of CCTV systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
Conduct thorough field service survey visits to troubleshoot issues with surveillance equipment and systems.
Collaborate with clients to design customized security system layouts that meet their specific requirements.
Utilize computer networking skills to integrate CCTV systems with existing infrastructure for seamless operation.
Perform regular inspections of installed systems, including sensors, alarms, and fire alarms, to ensure functionality.
Work with schematics and blueprints to accurately install cabling and hardware components for low-voltage systems.
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and offering expert advice on security solutions.
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in surveillance technology to continually enhance service offerings.
Search out new business through networking and current clients to build connections and spread TDA's name across sectors.
Basic qualifications:
REPORTING, ESTIMATING, VEHICLE UPKEEP
Proficient in mechanical knowledge and electrical experience related to security systems.
Familiarity with remote access software for system monitoring and management.
Preferred qualifications
Milestone, CCURE, Lenel or other platform knowledge a must
Extremely strong estimating skills and knowledge with honesty and integrity
Experience as a service technician in the field of security or telecommunications.
Knowledge of alarm system sales principles and practices.
Skills in locksmithing for enhanced security solutions.
Ability to operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
