RARE WWII Military Issue True Temper Machete with Army Olive Drab Green Handles - Dated 1944

True Temper manufactured these machetes for the US government during WW2 starting approximately December of 1944 to end of war, which makes the 1944 model such a rare one and more likely to have been carried and used during WWII.

■■《☆》■■ These machetes were primarily issued, carried and used by the U.S. Army & Marines in the brutal battles that followed the Japanese attack of Pearl Harbor. Most of the battles took place in thick jungles of islands in the Pacific Ocean theater of World War II.

The 18" blade has slight signs of use. Machete is full tang. The blade is 1095 High Carbon Steel which is better and stronger than more recent 1095 steel that loses strength with melted down and reproduced multiple times.

The blade has a convex grind designed to chop through branches and wood without getting stuck as with flat grinds and other grinds.

The Army OD Green handles are in excellent condition, with no cracks, chip or breaks. They are held together by 4 brass pins and has an extended area for better grip with a lanyard hole to attach paracord or leather lace.

This WWII TT-18-44 Army OD Green handled machete comes with an Army OD green canvas scabbard shown in photos.

Price: $175
