MPS is seeking a qualified Construction Foreman to coordinate operations and oversee field personnel at construction sites around San Antonio, TX and surrounding areas. This position will serve as the competent person onsite, and will be directly responsible for ensuring the quality of work on their respective jobsites. The construction foreman will be expected to operate independently and with minimal supervision, while serving as a liason between front-line employees and management. Strong communication is key, with the ability to converse with fellow employees, vendors, and clients a must-have skill.
Responsibilities
-Ensure all projects are completed on time and within budget
-Properly allocate the appropriate manpower to jobs as required
-Allocate general and daily responsibilities amongst workers
-Supervise and train workers and tradesmen
-Follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times
-Report on progress to superintendents, project managers, clients, etc.
Skills
-Proven experience as a construction foreman
-In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and OSHA guidelines
-Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints
-Good organizational and leadership skills
-Ability to communicate effectively
-Able to perform layouts as required
