Skills:
- Flatbed experience 2-3 years
- Valid 2 year commercial drivers license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Proven experience and references as a flatbed truck driver
- Time management skills and the ability to meet delivery deadlines
- Ability to login to ELD device for daily logs
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a truck and flatbed trailer to transport and deliver concrete pipe and boxes
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, such as straps, chains, and tarps
- Follow delivery schedules and routes provided by the dispatcher
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of truck and trailer for mechanical issues
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving
- Complete necessary paperwork, such as delivery tickets, Bols, Pods, and inspections
- Communicate with job site contacts to ensure timely and accurate delivery
- Random drug and alcohol tests under DOT regulations
- Early day shift beginning at 4 am daily
